← Guide

Supporting your child's practice.

What to set up, what to check in on, and how to use the printable side of things.

01

Create an account

Sign up, then add a profile for each child — or claim results from a free diagnostic they've already taken.

02

Read the Progress dashboard

Strengths, weaker skills and a recommended next activity, at a glance.

03

Print worksheets when useful

Generate a worksheet with an answer key for offline practice, in the car, or on a screen-free evening.

04

Manage the subscription

One subscription covers Grasp Maths and Grasp English, managed through Stripe from the account area.

New: independent practice

Give your child their own sign-in.

You don't have to open every session for them. Reveal a family code and PIN once, and your child can sign in and practise by themselves from then on — every result still lands in the same dashboard you check.

01

Reveal the code + PIN

On your child's row in "Your children," click the key icon. A family code and a 4-digit PIN appear — shown once, so write them down.

02

They sign in themselves

At graspmaths.com/school/join, they enter the family code, tap their name, then their PIN. The same page a school pupil already uses — no separate app.

03

Bookmark it, once

Add that page to their device's home screen (Share → Add to Home Screen on iOS, ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen on Android) and it opens like their own icon from then on.

Example only — yours is generated per child. Lost a PIN? Click the key icon again to issue a fresh one; the old one stops working immediately.
What the dashboard shows you

Not just a score — a clear picture of where things actually stand.

Strengths, weaker skills, a recommended next activity, and a sticker book that fills in as real skills get mastered — grey until it's unlocked.

Print Centre

A worksheet, generated for the exact year group and topic you need.

Every worksheet comes with an answer key. Parent Pro accounts can also generate a worksheet straight from a child's own weak skills — useful for handwriting practice, screen-free evenings, or backing up what's been covered online.

Preparing for the 11+

A dedicated track, not a bolt-on question bank.

Tick "Prepare for 11+ entrance exam" when you add or edit your child's profile, and their practice switches to 11+ content: number and quick reasoning, percentages and ratio, shape and measures, multi-step worded problems, non-verbal reasoning (shape codes, odd-one-out, reflections) and spatial reasoning (cube nets, block counting) — each with its own strategy lesson under Learn before the practice questions.

01

Learn the method first

Short strategy lessons for non-verbal reasoning, spatial reasoning and multi-step problems — how to approach the question type, not just more questions.

02

Practise with real diagrams

Shape-code figures and cube nets are drawn, not just described in words — the same diagrams your child will need to read in the real exam.

03

Download a Misconception Audit

A one-page report naming a real strength and a real recurring blindspot, built from actual practice data — not a generic score.

If your child needs more than online practice

One-to-one tuition uses the same progress data.

Get in touch to arrange 1-to-1 tuition, and your tutor can use the same weak-skill picture you see, so sessions target real gaps from the first minute instead of starting from scratch.

Free vs. Parent Pro

What's free, and what a subscription adds.

Every account starts on Free Starter — no card needed. Parent Pro adds a 4-week free trial, then £14.99/mo (or £129/yr), and covers Grasp English too under the same subscription.
